Anthony is a seasoned telecoms executive with over 25 years’ global experience, having worked across Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. A pioneer in launching data centres and telecom platforms, he co-founded the Djibouti Data Center and PRIMUS in London. With deep expertise in regulatory strategy, data ecosystems, fibre infrastructure, and technology monetisation, Anthony is known for building value-driven partnerships. His leadership spans the entire business cycle, from start-up to scale. An electrical engineer by training and a certified airline pilot, he blends technical skill with commercial vision, championing innovation, profitability, and responsible growth across emerging digital economies.

Demos brings over 30 years’ experience in finance and international telecoms, with a strong track record in developing deregulating markets across Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He has led the financing of several multimillion-dollar IT and internet infrastructure projects and plays a pivotal role in operational leadership at Wingu Africa. Demos holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from King’s College London and an MBA in Finance from Imperial College London. He combines technical knowledge with strategic financial insight, driving operational excellence and sustainable expansion across the Wingu Africa Group’s regional footprint.

Nicholas has over 30 years’ experience in international investment banking, private equity, and strategic consulting, particularly in Africa and the Middle East. He has advised governments, regulators, and boards, and previously managed a $390 million private equity fund backed by sovereign wealth. He was Founder of Clarity Economic Consultancy and has served on multiple corporate boards. A published author on Islamic finance and respected media commentator, Nicholas is known for his insight into emerging markets and strategic investment. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Massey University, New Zealand, where he was a Massey Scholar.

Ralph is a senior ICT executive with more than 20 years’ experience in the African and Middle Eastern markets. As Vice President of Sales at Wingu, he is responsible for P&L, strategic partnerships, and global wholesale accounts. He has held leadership roles at Telkom SA, MTN Group, and Wipro, managing enterprise sales across 16+ countries. Ralph holds an MBA and a range of technical and commercial qualifications. Known for his strategic mindset and results-driven leadership, he is passionate about market positioning and building high-performing sales teams that deliver sustained customer value.

Rayana is a commercially focused B2B marketing leader with over 20 years’ experience across SaaS, AI, and technology-driven sectors. She has scaled marketing functions in start-ups and global firms, delivering brand growth, lead generation, and go-to-market strategy. Rayana has a strong track record in building brand visibility, driving demand, and aligning marketing with commercial goals. With global experience spanning the UK, Europe, Africa, and the US, she works closely with C-level teams to deliver impactful campaigns and strategic growth. Her expertise includes digital strategy, content marketing, event execution, and media relations.

With over two decades of expertise in data centre operations and NOC support, Shermarke is committed to ensuring infrastructure reliability, operational excellence, and exceptional service delivery. His focus is on optimising performance, fostering innovation, and leading a high-performing team to exceed customer expectations and deliver outstanding results.

Erkan is a cloud and telecoms expert with extensive experience across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. He specialises in digital infrastructure, connectivity, and global partnership development. Erkan has successfully driven innovation and commercial growth through strategic alliances with leading technology providers. Known for his leadership and vision, he excels in ecosystem building, market expansion, and forging collaborations that enable digital transformation. Erkan’s technical expertise and global perspective position him as a key driver in Wingu’s efforts to scale its cloud services footprint.

Freddy is a seasoned ICT leader with over 20 years’ experience across public and private sectors. Beginning his career at TTCL, he rose to Network Planning Engineer, building deep technical expertise. At Millicom (Tigo), he advanced from Enterprise Solutions Manager to Head of Wholesale and ICT Services, driving growth and strategic partnerships. As a former Executive Committee member of TISPA, he played a key role in developing Tanzania’s internet landscape. Now General Manager, Tanzania Sales at Wingu Africa, Freddy leads market expansion. He holds a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications and an MBA in Corporate Management, bridging policy and innovation.

Tigest is an accomplished ICT and project management professional with over 15 years’ experience driving digital transformation in Ethiopia. As General Manager at Wingu Africa, she leads commercial strategy, client engagement, and enterprise growth. Formerly CEO of Cloud251, she introduced secure, locally hosted cloud solutions, supporting businesses and government with robust data protection. A certified PMP® with a degree in Computer Science, Tigest has also coordinated initiatives such as the Orange Digital Center. Passionate about bridging Africa’s digital divide, she champions innovation and local leadership, playing a vital role in strengthening Ethiopia’s digital infrastructure and ecosystem.

Hachin-Arafat has over 13 years’ experience in telecommunications and IT, with expertise spanning systems management, infrastructure, and network operations. He joined Djibouti Data Centre in 2013 and has since progressed through several technical roles, including Network Engineer and Data Centre Manager. As Group Director of Data Centre Services and Country Director for Djibouti, he has led major infrastructure projects, including the launch of the region’s first internet exchange, DjIX. Hachin-Arafat holds a Master’s in Networks and Systems from the University of Amiens, France, and is instrumental in advancing digital connectivity across the Horn of Africa.

Teshome is a veteran IT and telecoms professional with over 24 years’ experience leading major national ICT projects in Ethiopia. His initiatives span e-government platforms, agricultural digital systems, and tech infrastructure. As Senior Director at Wingu Africa, he plays a key role in advancing Ethiopia’s data centre development. Teshome holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Addis Ababa University, an MSc in IT and Telecoms from KAIST (Korea), and a certificate in digital finance from Tufts. He is also a published academic, contributing research on LTE strategy, energy systems, and ICT localisation.

Feven leads Wingu Africa’s operations in Ethiopia, bringing strong expertise in digital transformation, project delivery, and strategic partnerships. She is responsible for business growth, client engagement, and regulatory compliance. With a background in project management and a deep understanding of Ethiopia’s digital landscape, Feven plays a crucial role in expanding the country’s digital infrastructure. Her leadership fosters impactful collaborations and positions Wingu as a trusted partner in Ethiopia’s tech ecosystem.

A telecom and data centre executive, Huneid has over 15 years’ experience in carrier relations, business development, and regional strategy. At Wingu Africa, he leads Tanzanian operations, overseeing sales, partnerships, and expansion efforts. His career includes roles at Six Telecoms, Apelby Communications, EcoCarrier, and Relario Pay. Huneid brings expertise in carrier acquisition, network growth, and compliance, establishing strong partnerships within Africa’s digital ecosystem. Passionate about talent development and innovation, he has built high-performing teams and engaged in industry forums to advance digital transformation in the region.
