Aptus Solutions a leading internet service provider 100% Tanzanian-owned and headquartered in Dar es Salaam has signed a partnership with Wingu; Tanzania’s only carrier-neutral Tier III data center operator. Under the agreement, Wingu will be the primary Data Center for Aptus. This adds to Aptus’ range of data center locations across Dar es Salaam and strengthens its offering of a resilient and local cloud service.

Customers of Aptus’ managed services will benefit greatly from this partnership as it will allow Aptus to provide better managed IT services and hosted services via its MaishaHost brand service offering, with significant improvement in availability and other enhancements.

Choosing Wingu was a strategic decision based on Wingu’s track record in Africa, with experience dating back over a decade and its high level of service (Tier III Data Center). The newly forged partnership will allow Aptus to provide cost-effective high-uptime solutions and focus on its business of connectivity. Aptus was among the first fiber operators to connect to Wingu and is ready to welcome customers to tap into Wingu’s international quality facility along with its redundant fiber network already present at Wingu’s data center strategically located in Dar es Salaam.
